About the Woolsey Fire:

The Woolsey Fire broke out on November 16, 2018 at 2:24 p.m. The fire quickly grew while being pushed by Santa Ana Winds. The fire started south of Simi Valley near the Santa Susana Field Lab. During the overnight hours, the fire spread through the Thousand Oaks, Oak Park, Calabasas and Agoura Hills area before jumping the US Route 101. On November 9, the fire quickly spread towards the Malibu area. By November 10, 3,242 firefighters were deployed to battle the blaze, over 295,000 people evacuated and over 70,000 acres burned. The fire was contained on November 14 at 96,949 acres with 1,643 structures destroyed and 3 civilian fatalities.
